On November 5th and 6th 2016, English Olympic for university and college students in Northern coastal and mountainous regions was successfully held in campus of Hai Phong Private University. VMU Olympic team including Vu Thuy Duong, Pham Do Dat and Dao Anh Phuong won the first runner-up title, together with many prestigious individual awards:
- Student: Vu Thuy Duong (58729 – ATM55-ĐH1) won the Best Student title with the first prize in Listening Skill, two second prizes in Reading and Writing Skills
- Student: Pham Do Dat (58727) won the first runner-up title in Presentation Skill;
- Student: Dao Anh Phuong (64572) won the second runner-up title in Listening Skill.
